Have you tried looking in your fuse box? it is unlikely that both your headlights are out at the same time but a blown fuse would cause this.

My low beam headlights won't come on automatically

Replace the switch since you've replaced other components. Also check to be certain all connections are secure.

Start by checking every other fuse to insure more are not bad. Sounds as if you may have a short somewhere, which can be very hard to find, especially if intermittent.

sounds like a ground problem. Most common ground points are 2 in the cabin under the kick panels on each side. there are 4 or 5 in the engine compartment, 2 up by the headlights one on each fender well, and usually one on the fire wall. Some times I find them in the trunk. This is generic as I work on all makes and models of cars. To find the specific spots for your car you will need a manual. This is where I would start. Hello, what I have read in the owner's manual is that if there is an issue in the elestrical system, the light will blink telling you of the issue. The system needs to be at least scanned by the dealer to inform of what can be done to correct the problem. If all lights are working, I don't know if I would spend a ton of energy repairing it otherwise. Double check ALL of your lamps and "twilight" setting (automatic) for proper operation. Does everything else in the car illuminate as desgined? I have an owner's manual for 04 if you would like it. If so, email me at iambanshee74@yahoo.com and I will send it out immediately via email.

turn the selection knob to auto and leave it there. the lights will automatically come on whenever the sensor on the dash trips. it takes a minute in a tunnel but you will never have to worry if your lights are on.

Dash lights go off intermittently

I'm no expert, I recently purchased a 2003 vibe. I noticed the automatic headlight's sensors can be super-sensitive, about an hour hours before dusk they'll kick my headlights on (when the sun is still shining!), or sometimes when I go into an underpass, and then sometimes they'll realize it's light enough and turn themselves off. This would cause your dash lights to go to the 'headlights on' mode and turn the headlamp signal on, the intensity is controlled by the dimmer/dome light control on the left side of the dash. Check to see if the dimmer is down too far, as this could cause the lights to dim when the automatic headlights turn on. It's also possible that the dimmer is not working, thus no power is getting to the dash lights through the dimmer. Try testing it by starting the car in daylight, then manually turn on the headlights, then adjust the dimmer. Like I say, I'm no expert, just guessing because I've noticed it happen similarly on my Vibe, but my dimmer was at half-way, as I like it for night driving. Someday, I'd like to disable the automatic sensors and DRL.

Electrical problems

It sounds like you have a loose ground wire somewhere. If you can't find it, tonight, when it's dark, have somebody turn all this stuff that's giving you problems, on and off, while you watch for sparks.
