If it is a 7.3 or 6.0 turbo diesel it will have a duallie tensioner-pulley setup. use a half inch breaker bar or ratchet to grab a hold of the tensioner then turn it very firmly counter clockwise until you can remove the belt. after that use the corresponding size socket and ratchet to loosen the bolt that retains the idler pulley.

Have a 1993 f250 with A/C, power steering. Is

There is a pulley on the tensioner but it may be best to replace the whole tensioner pulley assembly. There should be a bolt through the tensioner above the pulley. Once you remove that bolt you will be able to replace the tensioner.

1993 Ford F250 4 x 4 - Tensioner jumps of belt

It sound like the tensioner needs a shim or one taken out. The pulley is not aligned up with the tensioner. so check to see if you need a shim or need to remove a shim.
I hope this helps.
