This is most likely the power steering pump that you hear. Check the fluid level to be sure it is full. If the fluid is full then the pump is going out. Hope this helps. Good luck.

If the sound is not very loud it most likely means than the power steering pump is getting tired if it starts to get hard to steer you may need to replace it

2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited makes rear noise when turning left?

Could be low on oil, or need a shot of additive if it is a limited slip differential.
The noise may be the clutches in the diff or one of the axle bearings.

I have to turn my key to my starter off and on until I hear a sound as if a motor is running in back of my jeep and then it sounds as if a air flow value is openning up right in front of where the radio...

two different things going on here,If your hearing a noise running in the rear that is the fuel pump pressurizing the lines,That is normal but you should not be able to hear this that well.if you can hear this it is a sign that the fuel pump is getting ready to quit.
The other noise your hearing up front is normal,it is the vacuum releasing from the blend air doors in the heater.

Speedometer does not always work HELP 1995 jeep cherokee orvis

The vehicle speed sensor and speedometer are one in the same on this model I believe. If one goes out it takes the other with it if its all electronic and not cable driven.

We bought a 1995 jeep grand cherokee orvis edition...the truck will not go into reverse...it makes a wierd grinding noise

Be sure that the truck is fully engaged in two wheel drive. It may have slipped out of gear on the transfer-case. Move the lever for 2 and 4 wheel drive back and forth a few times before shifting transmission.Good luck

Hurt front end

not trying to be rude but do be sure the wheel is tight. a build up of corrosion on the wheel or hub could cause the wheel not to set n lug studs correctly. that would cause a knock noise and will shake the wheel
