Question about 2003 Kia Sedona

2003 Kia Sedona rear door not working properly

The rear door is very heavy and is not staying open - the mechanism on each side (is that air?) appears to have just quit working - there was no warning or problem before, just all of a sudden two weeks ago this started. Is there an inexpensive way to fix this as I am existing on unemployment and can barely make mortgage?

The struts that are used to hold the hatch open are gas filled units and there is no way to repair them. The only solution is to go to an auto parts store and buy replacement struts.

How do I get the front heater to produce warm, hot heat from the blower? for 2003 kia sedona

If the heater hoses for the front heater are getting hot, it could be a blend door problem under the dash.

First I would check your radiator fluid level, sometimes being low can have this effect. Usually the rear heaters sit at a lower level and so keep working. If that is fine, then you probably have an issue with the diversion door or controller that controls the hot/cold mixture.

2003 KIA SEDONA APPEARS TO BE LEAKING ANTI FREEZE AT REAR AXLE WHAT CAUSES AND CAN OWNER FIX IT

It sounds like a corroded line running to the rear heater core. If you're mechanically inclined, you can definitely replace it yourself. I would reccomend replacing both lines, as the material Kia originally used is very prone to corrosion. They realized this and now the replacement parts are much higher quality, mostly rubber and no more pot metal.

2003 kia sedona over heating and no heat

Check your rear coolant lines, These lines always rust and start leaking coolant and thats why your engine over heats and you dont get any heat inside your car. This is a common problem with kia sedona that have rear A/C and Heater. There are two fixes to this problem. The first is to replace the rear heater coolant lines with the updated lines from kia. The second will be bypassing the rear coolant lines with a hose, however the rear heater will not work with this method.

removing the rear coolant lines is not that easy. The lines near the fire wall are really hard to remove. Its also much easier to replace the lines with the car on a hoist.
hope that helpfull

My back door on my kia sedona will not open

The cable leading from the handle to the mechanism is stretched or if it has a rod it has come unhooked. Or it could be a bad mechanism or somthing caught in it from inside as if it fell down across the striker as the hatch was being closed.
