If you mean the brake light at the dash lights. It means that your breaks have a problem. Anything from lack of brake fluid to worn out pads. soon you will probably hear a screeching , annoying sound that means the pads are reaching time to replace.

It should be the switch that gives electricity to your lights, its probabbly not a brak problem but a electrical problem
hope this helps

Keyless remote instructions for 99 pontiac grand prix do not work

Is the battery good in the remote? Is the remote working? Did the car come with keyless remote?
If you stop by a big box part store they have a tester to check the remote. Sometimes when the battery is replaced there is a solder joint that brakes.

My 1999 grand prix stalls and dies at stops.

My Pontiac Grand Prix is also a 99, it has 216,+ thousand miles on it, it runs great, idles good, I need to replace the oxygen sensor tho as it shuts off on me while driving or sometimes coming to a stop. You might try checking the fuel filter and pump as well.

My grand prix will not go into gear, it will got if i push the gear release button

Sounds like the break sensors arent working. Try checking on top of the brake, there should be a little plastic box, once pressed it should release the shifter, sometimes they become worm out.

The parking brake light for my 2002 pontiac grand prix comes on and off at will. I applied the parking brake and release it stays on and the goes off and comes back on its confusing to me

Make sure you have the proper amount of break fluid in the resivor. the next time it comes on, pop the hood and unplug the connector that is going to the brake master cylinder, see if it goes out.
Report back if the light stays on. If it goes out then the fluid level sensor is bad. You can replace just the sensor, you do not need to replace the whole resivor.

Abs and traction control lights coming on

Its the abs sensor, if you encounter an ice patch or snow you won't even be able to stop because the pedal will will push back and make the rip grind noise. If you pull the ABS fuse out, you won't have ABS but you can stop and you won't have the grind noise and back pressure for now. Its safer to not have ABS when the sensor is faulty.
