You should have 4 O2 sensors, one before the catalytic converter and one after the catalytic converter on each bank of the engine.

2004 Chevrolet Aveo replacing the oxygen sensor's need to know how long the wires are both front and back to order a less expensive brand they have different lengths.

You do not order anything

You DO NOT BUY a universal O2 Sensor

You go to NAPA Etc & buy the OEM Correct
Sensor, with the right length wires & just install it.

You don't replace the rear monitor or back sensors,
just the front ones, closest to the engine & only at
100,000 miles or when they fail

You should be testing any sensor before you replace one.

If you got a Code ,that doesn't mean you replace a sensor

Where is the oxygen o2 sensor located on 2004 impala bank 1

I have a 2002 Impala with 3.8L, and just replaced my Bank1 O2.
It is located between the firwall and the middle of the engine, straight down past the spark plugs. Maybe 12 inches from the top of the engine.
As I recall the plug for the sensor is clipped to a bracket at about spark plug level.
I recommend using the crow foot style wrench to remove and install.

O2 sensors

The O2 sensors are usually located: one near or on the head pipe coming off the manifold; and the other before the catalytic converter. A special socket is needed to accommodate the wires from the sensor. It is not expensive and makes removal and installation easy and correct.

Were is the cooling Temp Sensor located on a 2004 vw beetle and is there anything special about replacing it. I have a P2181 code and that is the problem.

that code is for cooling system performance. which probably means you need to replace the thermostat. you can get free repair guides on autozone.com for this vehicle that will tell you where the sensor is

I own a 2003 Chevrolet Express 3500 cargo van. The check engine light came on and the local hardware store, break out box indicates that the knock sensor circuit is the problem, bank 2. Which side of the...

OK, bank2 is the side where the #2 piston is on. Usually its the pasanger side. To be sure open the hood and see which cylinder head is more forward than the other. the cylinder head set back is the bank 2 side. The knock sensor is located on the bank side of the block. You dont need a special tool. only a wrench. Make sure you clear all codes after installation of sensor.

Need location of oxygen sensor on 2002 dodge caravan sport

o2 sensors are located in the exhaust pipe near the front of the system (sometimes in the exhaust manifold)........your van may have more than 1 so check with the dealer (free phone call) to see if your system has multiples........as for tools all you should need is the proper size wrench (note: to remove the old one you can cut the wire off and use a socket) the pipes are subjected to extreme temperatures and the old one may be difficult to remove.
hope this helps!
