This is a common issue with Chevys. You can temporarily reset it by disconnecting and reconnecting the negative battery terminal (for at least 30 seconds), but to fix it permanently you will need to replace the cluster which can be expensive (~$500) if you are out of warranty

Speedometer will not go above 30-34 miles an hour no matter how fast you are going.

Probably the vehicle speed sensor , located on the transmission. Hope that helps.

Radio fuse blew, speedometer quit working. After replacing fuse the speedometer is very sluggish (goes up fast down slow)

You may need a new Vehicle Speed Sensor. It is located on the Transmission on the Passenger side out-put shaft housing.

I recently put smaller tires on my z71 4x4 and i think my speedometer is off is to fast or to slow?

Good observation. Changing the tire size increases or decreases the number of wheel spins per mile, and that changes the speedometer reading. GM or a custom truck shop should be able to modify the speedometer drive, but most drivers just note the inaccuracy and learn to live with it.

My speedometer quit workin and my gears are a lil hard shiftin and i have no overdrive

You may have a bad Vehicle Speed Sensor. This sensor tell the computer and instrument cluster how fast you are going and if it fails the speedometer will quit working and the transmission will shift oddly, if at all. You would need to have the vehicle hooked up to a scan tool to know for certain what is going on but is should be a pretty simple diagnosis. Good luck, hope this helps a bit.

99 Malibu all of a sudden my speedometer started bouncing wildly

I'm not 100% sure but your problem may be a speed sensor.  This is just a sensor that monitors how fast the tires are moving.  These are usually easy to change.  They require usually one or two bolts to be removed and an electrical plug.  But as to the location of yours, I'm not 100% sure, but I believe it mounts somewhere on the transmission (transaxle.)
Any questions, just ask!!! Please rate!!!  Thanks
