97 VW JETTA SWERVE TO THE RIGHT

could be the tie rod ends or another steering component related to that. I know that it is definitely a steering issue.

I just bought a 1974 VW Super Beetle and plan on refurbishing. The car runs, however, it seems reluctant to go very fast. Comfortable at 55mph, rapping pretty hard at 65mph, and really doesn't want to go...

Save money and just make sure the timing is spot on. If that does not make for an improvement nada will unless you have brakes that are not disengaging.

While driving down the road my 88 chevy 1500 wants to swerve to the left and then to the right. I had the wheels balanced, and have put new shocks on the front. Any ideas?

Check ball joints and tie rod ends for play. Jack the truck up on the frame and try to move the wheel up and down for ball joints and side ti side for tie rod ends. Also make sure you check the idler arm on passenger side and pitman arm on steering box. None of the parts should any play whatsoever. If there is any play in them when you try to move them then replace them.
There could also be excessive play in the steering box but that shouldn't make it swerve back and forth. That would just let it wander to one side or the other until you corrected it by turning the wheel. Hope this helps.

Why does my 1960 vw dart to the right when i let off the gas at 55mph?

It sounds like the rear suspension bushes are badly worn ,as when you back off the gas the,the alignment of the wheels is changing ,causing the car to veer, also check all the wheels spin freely as if theres a brake binding ie;on the right side your car will pull check tyre pressures and check tyres,....obvious stuff as well

I have a 2000 lincoln ls and my steering wheel shakes

Tires need to be balanced. Take it to a tire shop and ask them to balance all 4 wheels. Problem will be fixed.

sounds like a wheel bearing. typically when you take weight off bad bearing noise goes away. to replace bearing you will need a press to get it off and on

1990 cherokee shakes badly only at 50-55mph

Check the front steering damper. The steering damper is a shock that is mounted horizontaly in the front. The damper is bad if you see oil leaking from it or if the car has high mileage and never been replaced.
