I would say the first thing is to go to an Autozone if they are in your area and have the codes checked on the computer (they'll do it for free) The jerking sounds to me like possibly a Mass Airflow Sensor. Most cars use these nowadays and they can do this. It will either be a box on the side of the hose leading from the air cleaner to the engine or inside the air cleaner housing. It will have 3 or more wires leading to it. Check the hose for any leaks as well. Tap the MAF GENTLY with a screwdriver handle or something like that while the engine is running and see if it stalls. If so, that's probably your culprit. If you get codes, let me know what they are and we'll see what we can do with them. Also, a vacuum leak might be able to do this as well (including a stuck EGR valve which is a massive vacuum leak)

You need to check your tranny fluid level. Add transmission fluid. Or change the oil to the tranny. If it is dark and smells strong. Be sure to refill only to the proper level. If not, the clutches on the tranny are slipping because they are wearing out.

Od light on

Hi there,

When you press in the Overdrive (OD) switch, this simply allows your gearbox to use the highest gear (when it needs to). For example, if your transmission has 1,2 & D gears, the OD acts as a 4th gear. This is useful on open roads and will help with economy.

If the OD light remains ON, then you have deactivated the 4th gear. This means the car will change up to 3rd gear only, until you depress the OD switch again.

Deactivating the OD is useful, when you wish to "manually" change down to 3rd gear, to climb a hill, or need better acceleration.

My voyager kicks and bucks at times when im driving down the road what could this be ?

How could anyone guess, at that question, without the vehicle?

It could be a dozen different things

The EGR Valve could cause the bucking, also ignition problems, vacuum leaks.

On a vehicle that old,I would look for something simple.

2000 grand caravan won't go above 70 mph. high rpms

First I need to ask is it a 4 speed or a 3 speed transmission. If it's a 4 speed when driving down the road pull it from drive to third gear. You shpuld hear the engine speed up if it does not then that means you have on 4th gear and you will have to take it to a transmission shop. If it's a 3 speed then just count the shift points if all 3 gears are present then drive down the road and see if the van goes into tcc. When you mean the rpms are high how high are they.

Overdrive factors

When the car is just cruising along at approx.50+ MPH push the O/D button. You should feel the gears change higher and if you have an RPM guage then it should drop as well to fewer RPMs. This would be normal driving conditions. O/D will not kick in until the last regular gear (3rd or 4th depending on model)  had been shifted into. O/D automatically kicks out when slowing down and the transmission shifts to a lower gear. Thus the O/D has no function at slower speeds/gears and does not need to be shifted ( on or off ) except in the very first example given here.

1998 Chrysler Sebring JXI V6 2.5L Transmission Problem

most likely a valve body or a shift solenoid issue, but at the very least the trans pan and valve must come out and or be replaced, those 2 parts are fairly expensive, but don't know how much and don't wish to mislead you, have the shop look at it, u can always decline the repair.

it sounds like the transmission solenoid or possibly the transmission itself trying to go out
