My 1983 Datsun 280zx is flooding out. I'm getting fire but it does not want to run over a couple seconds. Ideas?

Unplug the air flow meter and carefully look at each connector.
Theese are bad about corroding between the coonctors and the air flow meters. Make up a very tiny little sharp objrct that you can munipulate with your hand it must have the capabitly of scrapeing small pins in confined areas to clean them. It is time consuming but worth the effort. very carefully, scrape each connector on both sides (if it is the female connector you will have to be patient because you can bend the the little arms that the pins slide into) Scrape them thoroughly EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM!
Then scrape the surface areas (or pins which plug into the plug you just cleaned) Ideally get some diaelectric grease, you can buy a small tube at youyour local parts house. It's a white grease. (This will keep the connector from corroding again) Pack it into the plug you just cleaned and then plug it back into the air flow meter.
MAKE SURE YOU AREN'T STARTING OUT WITH FOULED PLUGS! I'm willing to bet, based on your description, if it's accurate and the air flow meter is good and has not been tampered with, you car should improve significantly. let me know.

I have a 88 4x4 V6 toyota it misses unless you stomp it.How do I fix it?I replaced plugs,wtres,cap and rotor

Hello! Sounds like a defective Throttle Positioning Sensor (TPS)...Bolted to the throttle body with a four wire connector...(one lead for the air flow meter)...We are interested in three of those wires...Wire colors are: Brown/Black=ground...Green/White=output...Green/Black=5 volts...
Using two safety pins push the points into the rear of the in-place connector into the Brown/Black and Green/White wires...Clip the (+) probe of the meter set to read 5 volts to the Green/White pin and the (-) probe to the Brown/Black pin...Start the engine...At idle meter must read less than 1 volt (.85)...As you increase the throttle the voltage must rise smoothly to 4.5 volts at full throttle...If it does not the TPS needs to be replaced...See photo below...Guru...saailer

1994 toyota pickup, 4x4, 3.0 efi, I need to know the color of the TWO wires that go to the IAT sensor? These wires are intagraded in the connector to the MAF sensor ?

The IAT is inside the Air Flow Meter in the air intake and is not serviced seperatly.
Using an ohmmeter measure between terminals THA and E2. Resistance should read:
at -20°C (-4°F): 10 - 20 k ohms
at 0°C (32°F): 4 - 7 k ohms
at 20°C (68°F): 2 - 3 k ohms
at 40°C (104°F): 0.9 - 1.3 k ohms
at 60°C (104°F): 0.4 - 0.7 k ohms

If reading is out of specification. it will be necessary to replace the Volume Air Flow Meter assembly. Also, I suggest check this wiring diagrams...

Engine lags when accelerator is pressed under load

Check the plugs for fouling. You may have a bad plug wire or wires. They cause the engine to hesitate at low rpm when they are faulty. Please rate me on this answer.

What color is the intale air temp sensor wire on a 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT, 3.0L V6, 5spd manual?

There are two wires for the intake air temperature sensor.

The sensor is built into the Mass Air Flow sensor near your air filter.

Pins 5 and 6 (wire colors brown and red/blue respectively) of the MAF connector are for the air temp sensor; Pin 6 is the 5V reference voltage from the ecu, pin 5 is the return signal (ecu input).

Subaru 96 Gt Wagon Has Gone Into limp mode whats the problem?

When was the last tune? May have fouled plug (s) which is causing that mis fire, hesitation and stuttering. Need to have is scanned with code reader to find out which cylinders are not firing. This will assist you in isolating the problem. the scan could very well tell you to look at the flow meter.

Q45 airflow meter wiring.

That's not going to work. You can't install a air flow meter into a Pulsar from a Q45. Totally different animals. Air flow meters are car specific. I don't think its gonna work, but good luck with that.

iit can be, buut it also can be your oxygen sensor which can be real fickle with the gt
also air flow sensor can be a pain.
When you check either sensor make sure that when you replace either you reset the main computer form the car.
Simply by disconnecting battery for 24 hours. Otherwise you will still have the same problem
