How to change tcc solenold on a 2000 pontiac montana

You must remove the transmission bottom pan, the solenoid is attached to the valve body inside the transmission. There is no drain pklug and this is a very messy job without the right type of drain pan.

I have code PO744

likely causes-
Faulty torque converter clutch solenoid valve
- Torque converter clutch solenoid valve harness or connectors
- Torque converter clutch solenoid valve circuit is open or shorted
- Low transmission fluid level
- Dirty transmission fluid
Tech notes When the a transmission solenoid is working intermittent, in most cases the problem is not the electrical part of the solenoid; the problem is foreign material obstructing the mechanical function of the solenoid or the flow of the fluid through the transmission valve body. If the transmission fluid is very dirty, it is recommend changing the transmission fluid and if possible removing the transmission pan for further diagnosis. Excessive debris or metal particles on the transmission pan could be an indication that there is a transmission mechanical failure and that the transmission will need to be rebuilt or replaced.

For a 2001 nissan xterra when should the timing belt be replaced

On a 3.3L engine V-6, Nissan recommends replacement every 105,000 miles, note that this is an interference engine, that piston to valve damage will happen in the event of a timing belt failure.

Xterra with 2.4L and 4.0L have timing chain only, no timing belt.

Nissan Xterra is burning oil. I drove 1,000 miles in two days and it burnt 3 quarts of oil, but there is no leak underneath the truck. Does anybody have any idea?
