Do you mean the Intake Air Temperature sensor? If so, the sensor is located on the air cleaner housing or the air tube leading to the engine. It is usually a two wire connector. The only other sensor that may be in the intake air stream is a MAF and that would have 3 or more wires.

check you throttle body whether is clean if not clean it. Also check for any vacuum leak,spark plugs,blogged fuel filter.

96 impala ss keeps blowing ac cooling fan relay

I have a 96 Impala SS I'm ready to smog but DTC code P1642 which is fan relay I replace it after three days the relay blow out and engine came on,the passenger fan is working but the driver fan is blowing out.

Have a 96 impala ss and there is a scraping noise from transmisson? Just had an engine and transmission swap, possible yoke sleeve?

I would check the torque converter dust shield for being bent and scraping on converter as it spins.

check air filter and fuel filter. look at spark plugs and wires make sure they are in good shape also.

How do i install electric fans in a 96 impala ss?

I am not the most mechanical guy and i did it with out much problem. You can get the fans at alot of car parts houses. i just layed under neith the front bumper and there were only a couple of screws and a connector to plug back in.
