Question about 2003 Chevrolet Astro
Check vacuum line running from left side of fuel injection to the right side by the blower motor it is a small diameter line. if that came apart you will only get air coming out of defroster exits.

I have had this same problem on two astros I have owned. The 1/8 inch diameter hose is broken. Both times it was just above the engine, front and center. The heat from the engine makes this plastic vacuum hose very brittle and it just cracks and fals apart. I was able to mend the broken hose with a larger hose used as a slice. If it is broken off at the firewall then good luck, take the dash apart to get to the other end of the hose. Lousy design in my opinion.
