Question about 2001 Mitsubishi Montero Sport 4WD
Check for oily mixture in your antifreeze. Also check for antifreeze in the oil. You could do a compression test to verify, but it sounds very much like you have have a failing head gasket, or possible a cracked head. There are some liquid head gasket repairs available at auto parts stores that may help, or at least keep it from getting worse for a while. The white vapor from the exhaust is antifreeze burning off. It may have a slightly sweet smell. If untreated, the vehicle will eventually overheat and the engine will fail completely.
