There's a humming noise, relative to road speed. Starts at 35-40 mph. I wondered if this is a familiar problem to old Matizs and hoped you might help me locate it.

There are may things it could be. But the most common ones are:
- Broken belt in your tire.
- Bad wheel bearing
- loose brakes
- bad tie rods or ball joints

Stereo, cigarette lighter and central locking don't work on daewoo matiz 04

sounds like there's an issue with your fuses, you'll probably need to buy a full fuse set for your matiz. if not check that all the cables are in tact and that nothing is disconnected.

Daewoo Matiz seems to have lost power. Especially when pulling away This happened after having to change down to 4th gear when someone pulled out on me. Can you help

if the engine was overstressed durring that emergency and without other simptoms.. then i would be concerned about the timing belt slipping a cog ... if this happens the performance will drop considerably .and there is some danger of the belt failing ...the timing belt cover can be removed to check the condition of the belt and to see if it lines up with the assembly marks ... if you have any other simptoms (like check engine light), smoke, noise or rough running then that can help with determining the cause ..
