Do i need to remove the gas tank on buick rendesvouz 2002 to replace the fuel pump?

The hard part is removing the fuel thank. This is really stupid, but unfortunately this is the reality, there should be an exes door to the fuel pump in the trunk, just like in the old Lada.
So when your fuel tank is on the floor, from here is very easy to replace the pump.
With the new pump you will have instructions how to do it.
Have fun.

Fuel pump fuse keeps shorting out

Yes I would suggest that the fuel pump and the fuel pump electrical connector at the fuel tank should both be replaced. Solder the repair connector on, never reuse the old connector. In order to replace the pump you must remove the fuel tank from the car, you need a good floor jack and safety stands to support the car. To remove support the fuel tank with the floor jack and remove the steel straps that hold it is and then disconnect all Ines and electrical connectors and rubber vent hoses as well as the filler neck from the gas cap.

Okay, you need to make sure the fuel pump is getting power and that you have the lines hooked up correctly. Also, when you replace fuel pumps you need to remove the air cleaner and use starter fluid to get the engine started.

How do you replace a fuel pump in a 87 olds 88

You need to make sure you are almost empty on fuel because the tank can be heavy. 1.Disconnect battery terminals. 2.Disconnect filler neck. 3.Loosen the gas tank straps. 4.Lower the gas tank and remove all fuel lines and wires. 5.Remove fuel tank and remove the the clamp or ring that traps the fuel pump. You might need a screwdriver for this. 6.Remove the fuel pump and disconnect all wires.Installation is reverse of removal.

How do I replace the fuel pump

You must remove the fuel tank in order to replace the fuel pump. Drain the tank of as much fuel as possible with a hand pump. Disconnect the positive + battery cable. Disconnect the fuel lines and the electrical connections. Remove the fuel tank, and then remove the old pump. Clean off any old gasket and then reinstall the new pump. Reinstall the tank and then replace the fuel filter. A partially clogged fuel filter will cause a pump to fail prematurely.

How do you replace fuel pump on a 1995 dodge avenger?

Easy my friend. Pull out the back seat, and remove the square plate on the passenger side. After you pull back the plate, you will see a round plate that needs to be removed. The fuel pump is attached to the bottom side of this plate. No need to remove tank.
