try cleaning the IACV (idle control valve) they often get dirty over time and stick cause odd idle issues, also verify distrubutor cap and rotor and wires to spark plugs

91 honda civic 1.6 no power while hitting the gas not until I hit 3000 rpms replaced tps and timing belt no change was doing this before all the work and new o2 sensor

Is the fuel pressure ok under a load? Is the MAP sensor good? Does it have a good vacuum signal from the engine? Is the timing belt set up properly, it may have jumped a tooth (should be replaced about every 60,000 miles). Is the exhaust free flowing with not excess back pressure?

missing is not always the plugs ,HT leads distributor . Most times it is from misfiring injectors and low fuel pressure.

Change my spark plugs and distrubutor cap and the 85 ranger want start

You may have got the spark plug wires out of sequence.
Reseat the coil wire going to the center of the distributor cap Check the spark plug wires at the distributor against the firing order as follows:
The spark plug firing order is 1 - 4 - 2 - 5 - 3 - 6 The distributor rotor turns CLOCKWISE The engine cylinders / spark plugs are numbered :
firewall 3 - 6 2 - 5 1 - 4 front
Best wishes,
TF

I have a 91 honda civic and need spark plug wire diagram

Fire order
1-3-4-2

Cylinder #1 will be the one closes to the fan belts and so on 1-2-3-4, on the distributor cap there should be a # 1 stamped on it, put cylinder # 1 spark plug wire on that one, install spark plug wire in firing order clockwise on the cap, the cap some time's might even have the firing order on it.

I had a honda 91 civic it runs poorly what is the first thing to do tune up?

I would replace the spark plugs, check the plug wires and cap and rotor. Also check the air filter and I'd replace the fuel filter.

91 CIVIC LX. 1.5L TURNS OVER WONT START

Check to see if ALL of your ground wires were reconnected after the rebuild. Check your mass airflow sensor is functioning and is connected properly. Sometimes a simple wiring issue can be the culprit. Perhaps its not getting any air. Be sure all of the connections are clean and solid. Sometimes when removing an engine, wires can be damaged in the process" pulling them apart or corrosion or rust can create problems".A full tune up with new cap, rotor, plugs, wires, air filter, fuel filter may help as well. Run a timing light on it to be sure it is set to factory specifications.
