Engine will not start sometimes when hot. There is no spark. If hot, shut off and restarted soon, it's fine, but if left to sit for 30 or so minutes, nothing happens. When running, it runs perfectly

When a car has been driven and then stopped for some time, the temp rises a lot more then it does while driving, I would say the ignition coil or some censer is faulty, spray the faulty part with a coolant spray if the engine then starts replace that part.

My 1997 Suzuki Sidekick 1.6 liter doesn't always start. When it does it runs great. I was told to check the ignition coil but I can't find one. Can I get a photo or a descriptive location from somebody?

I can't find the manual between my docks, but most ignition coils look like this and there are 2 pic's explaining how there work.
But don't start replacing things when you are not sure it is defect. You could try to clean all contacts. Remove all oxidation. (not with sharp tools, because the oxidation will run much faster then)

Initial start up the engine sounds like its running on 2 cylinders under powered intil the temp gauge reads normal ???? any body got the answer please

Cold starting misfires can often be caused by either tired high tension spark plug leads or ignition coil packs. If replacing leads, then replace with a full, new set. Coils can be changed individually, but it is often the case that if one has failed, then the others aren't far behind. Some cars have individual coil packs on each spark plug. Some cars have a single pack for all plugs and some have coil packs which may control two or more plugs.

To check for a misfire (ignition failure) follow these steps:

(Cold start) (Use a pair of insulated pliers)

1) Start the vehicle

2) When the vehicle starts misfiring, disconnect plug leads or coil pack connections one at a time. If the vehicle idles even more roughly, then that plug or pack should be considered fine.
Replug each connection before disconnecting the next one. Once you disconnect a plug lead or coil pack connection and find no difference in poor engine running, then you have likely found the offending cylinder. Check the spark plug condition, lead and/or coil condition and connections on that cylinder.

3) Replace components as necessary.

1985 toyota 4runner running too lean

Maybe it's not running lean. Maybe it's misfiring. Since you put in new fuel parts and that didn't help, maybe there is an ignition component that fails when it gets hot. A bad coil can do this, also the igniter-rarely, admittedly, but you could have it tested. When it stalls and won't start, if you check for spark and find none, it would confirm an ignition problem.
I hope you find it. Post back and let us know.

My car just die going down the road or sitting still after it has run long enough to reach running temp what would cause this

sometimes when electrical components start to fail, they will work normally at cooler temperatures, but when they get hot, they will quit on you. thats probably whats happening with your car. its hard to say whats failing though. ignition coils have a tendancy to do this, but it could be something else. have someone use a code reader to check your cars computer for trouble codes. that may give you a better idea of what may be going out. but since this is a problem that only happens when the car is warm, you really should have a mechanic look at it. sometimes the parts have to be cold, then heated up individually with a heat gun to find out whats failing on you.
