Check the vacuum lines since most flaps are vacuum operated.

Air wont come out of the dash vents

When u switch the air from floor to vent do you hear, like , a door closing under the dash? You could just have a simple problem like yourclimate control switch is bad. Or since the door that opens and closes is ran by a vacuum line, one of those lines is pinched or it came off. Check and see if you can switch the air to anywhere else.(floor, floor and vent, etc)

The heat only comes out of the dash and not the floor when turning the knob to the floor position.

if air only comes out dash no matter what position switch is in then there might be a leak in the vacume line at the intake.

Dash air flow problem

This could be a couple of different things. It could be the control head itself, an actuator inside the dash, or the blend door, or the blend door motor itself. The first thing I would do is turn the air on, put my ear close to a vent and move the switches on the control from floor to dash to vent. if you can hear any clicking at all you know it is not the control head. In that case, you mnay have to take the dash apart to go any further, and if youve never done this before I would not recommend it.

In my 1998 Honda Accord Lx the hot air does not come out of the heater vents in the floor, the same is true for cold air in the middle vents on the dash. The side vents on the dash work fine.

Air floww only comes out the dash and not the floor

One of your a/c vacum lines is broken its from your intake manifold to a/c line.open your hood and look towards the drivers side on the manifold from the middle you should see a 1/8 air line it runs towards the passenger front.

Air doesnt come out of the vents

the linkage that runs the blend door isn't working, these are the doors that control hot and cold and air flow to dash floor ect...they are located in the air box behind the dash ................ you may be able to pull the heater controls out of the dash and spot the problem but it's likely that the problem is in the air box itself and removal of the entire dash is required (big job!!!!!!!!!).........if your vehicle uses vacuum to control this (some gms use vaccum and some a cable)you might have a hose disconnected under the hood by the heater fan.........if it's a cable it may be knocked off at the dash controls or at the other end on the heater box..........sometimes removal of the glove box will give you acess to this connection.
just checked and 88 s-10 is a cable
hope this helps..........thanks fro choosing FIX YA!

No dashboard heat output

The climate control was poorly designed on these cars.

There is only heat on the floor and defrost settings, due to the layout of the ductwork.
