My car is hard to start in the mornings, it keeps dying out. already replaced fuel pressure regulator and spark plugs what could it be. this problem only started after i fixed the fuel pressure regulator.

probly shud change distributer cap and plug cables--they wear out--ignition module may hav issue too--test to see if ur gitten fuel pressure the regulator may need testing--buy a haynes manual for maintenance details

Wont start when it gets wet out side

suspect water and moisture getting into the ignition distribution cap. this causes ignition sparks to random.

open the distribution cam and see if there is any moisture in it, if so dry off best possible and spray with WD40 or other like substance this will dispurse water and give a better eletrical contact.

ensure cap is replaced the correct way as removed.

Starts fine, but then bogs out when accelerating, practicaly have to give it no gas and creep up to speed.Doesn't want to go up hills. Just replaced the cpi, fuel filter and fuel pump 3 months ago. Also...

Check the fuel pressure regulator and the EGR valve, I would check the fuel pressure regulator first and go from there. Good luck and keep me posted. Not sure what the pressure should be but thinking it's 62 to 65 PSI upon start up and should drop 5 PSI when engine running, check the vacuum line to the regulator.

Car wont start

YES YOU PROBABLY DID GET THE DISTRIBUTOR WET. SIMPLE SOLUTION. TAKE THE CAP OFF AND LET IT DRY NATURALLY OR SPRAY SOME WD 40 IN THE CAP WHICH WILL DISBURSE THE WATER, OR BLOW OUT WITH SOME COMPRESSED AIR. ALSO CHECK THE PLUG WIRES AT THE BOOTS AND ANYWHERE THEY OVERLAP EACH OTHER OR TOUCH A METAL SURFACE. THEY MAY BE SHORTING OUT AGAINST EACH OTHER OR THE ENGINE.

Ran fine then would not start

If it has been rainy, snowy or wet at all were you live you will need to change the cap and rotor. These vortec motors with the horizontel cap are very well known for not starting when damp. Also while you have the cap off there are two holes in the bottom of the distributer with screens in them, clean these out or remove them to keep the moisture from returning.
