Mine used to do the exact same thing. You should get your O2 sensors replaced, they're giving the wrong reading and it's not feeding enough fuel into the engine. Get those replaced and it should work like new.

When was fuel filter last changed, if not lately, I'd suggest trying that, and if that doesn't cure it, have fuel pressure tested. If it does it more so after running for a while, I'd try to get it into shop for fuel pressure check when it happens. Those have been known to start losing fuel pressure after pump gets warmed up after running for a while.

Does it start right back up after it dies, or do you have to wait a few minutes, then it starts?

well its a long shot but it could be your catalytic converter is going bad or is clogged, i have seen them get so hott they glow red. this sometimes can be seen at night by looking under your car after it has ran to the point of stalling and dieing,, if thats the problem the car cant exhaust creating back pressure that robbs power and can cause your car to die.. after it cools the metal shrinks back and the car will runn again untill it getts hott.. i hope this helps

Replaced water pump and timing belt on my '95 Plymouth Neon with 154,000 miles. Starts right up (warm or cold) but has a very lumpy idle and dies when I stop at a traffic light. It starts right away...

Welcome to Fixya

You might need to have a good tune-up with your car. Did you notice the needle of the RPM going up and down? The normal idle RPM is 600 to 800.

2000 Neon--when i drive in rain or snow or any bump I go over my car loses a bit of control, what I mean is it just feels like my tires are no longer tracking.

Have you had a professional check your struts for being weak? Have tires inspected as well for tread depth/wear. I know my 95 neon seemed to hydroplane in wet weather and felt out of control quite often as well, with good tires, but poor tread design for the Neon, but I put new, different tires on it, and I could fly through water puddles after that, and no pull from steering wheel, as well as stay in line during slushy/snow conditions as well.

1995 neon stalling and motor problems after left idle ing 10 min

I had a similier issue when I bought a used 95 Neon. Check your spark plug cables for worn surfaces. They like to rub the hood and the valve cover. When they wear down and heat up they discharge to the hood and v/c. This creates low voltage condition that causes the car to nearly die.
