Hi,
An easy fix is that in a 99 Ford expedition the heater coil gets stopped-up, Take took both hoses off to and from heater and flush it both ways with hose pipe. I am sure you will start getting heat.
In addition do a checkup with the the thermostat; check the coolant level, check the fuses and relays.

Thanks

99 ford expedition disable heater

easy...find the two hoses going to the heater core at the firewall and connect them together bypassing the heater completely. people do this when the heater core leaks to buy time to repair it. youll need a hose connector thats female on both ends. preferably one that has hose barbs on it to help hold it with the clamps.

1988 Ford Exppedition heater in the front will not work

I ASSUME THIS IS A 98, THIS PROBLEM IS CAUSED BY A PART CALLED AN "AIR TEMPERATURE CONTROL BLEND DOOR ACTUATOR MOTOR" THIS MOVES A DOOR BETWEEN THE COLD AIR FROM THE AC AND THE HOT AIR FROM THE HEATER CORE, YOU WILL NEED TO REPLACE THAT ACTUATOR. .

MY A/C BLOWS HOT AIR WHILE THE BACK BLOWS COOL , MY 99 FORD EXPEDITION HAS COMFORT CONTROL. WHEN ISELECT A/C IT BLOWS HOT AIR BUT YET WHEN I TURN ON THE REAR A/C I GET COOL AIR IN THE BACK.

Sounds like the oriffec tube on the front coils is blocked,. Going to have to open the system, clean the oriffice and then refill. Of course when you open the system you need to flush the lines, what ever clogged it the first time could still have contaminates in the lines and cause it to fail all over again.

Have a 2000 ford expedition and the ac in the front blows hot but the rear ac works fine. what could it be

Listen and see if the vent flap is moving from the hot position, to the cold position. If that's working then the evaporator may be clogged. It sits inside the same box that the heater core is inside of and if it becomes clogged with hair or dust, then it wont allow the blower to blow through it. But it would then bring hot air through the vents because the heater core is there too.

No back heat in Expedition, Blows cold air but front works fine

Shelly,

Buy used parts at car-part.com. Look on page with * to find the cheapest part. Coud be your temp blend door (#2) may not be moving back and forth. Or, you are not getting hot water to the rear heater core.

You may have to crawl under the truck and feel the heater hoses to see if they are hot. You will find a group of 4 lines, 2 for heater and 2 for a/c. If hot, you know hot water is getting back to the heater core. If not, there may be a hot water vave that's not working. Not sure if EXP. has a water valve for rear.

Let us know what you you find. Good luck.

your controls have problems. the heat is there it is just not getting out because your control lines are not setting the vent controls into the proper positions. i had a chev van that lost some of the foam in side there and it blocked the whole front off. i had to rip it all apart to get at it
