1987 s10. I turn on the heater blower and the truck dies. Won't start again for at least 6 hours.

As far as the vehicle not starting? If it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it while you visually check for spark at the spark plugs. If spark everywhere, use a gage and check proper fuel pressure. Check for a fuel injector pulse. Your obd1, you should be able to check some codes, yourself, if there are any.

I don't know why the blower motor would kill it? Make sure battery has a full charge and connections all clean and tight. Check your charging system. Check the amp draw on blower motor.
All I can do from here is make a few suggestions.

Motor turns over fine but will not start do not know if it's part of the alarm system bad computer inertia switch can you help

Hi Lee, what is your year--make--model and engine size? Because you mentioned inertia switch, makes me think you have a ford?

If it cranks good, but, won't start, have a helper crank it, while you visually check for spark at the spark plugs. If spark everywhere, use a gage and check proper fuel pressure. Also, check for fuel injector pulse, engine cranking.

Can you check for applicable trouble codes?

What means red ligt on oil preshure gage?

It means there is no oil pressure from the pump.
It can be because 1. Low engine oil level. 2. Faulty pressure sensor 3. Faulty oil pump

None of the gages are working ,speedometer.water gage, feul gage, rpm. I have chaged coulester 2 times.

Everything on the dash of a Town & Country, Plymouth Voyager, or Dodge Caravan, share a common falut. The battery grounds to the motor, directly from the battery. On almost all vehicles, there is a "secondary" ground strap, which goes from the motor, to the firewall. The MOPAR strap, is usually "braded" mesh. A couple really hard excellerations on to an expressway, or just a hard push down into passing gear, can torque the motor. Even though the engine mounts may be good & intact, that torque, can twist the motor, just enough to seperate, tear that ground strap. And of course.....it is in a wonderfully easy place to get to, above the cross over exhaust pipe from the manifolds right where your child's hand or wifes might fit, but, you may have to do some squeezing to get your wridst & hand in there.

Parked 1988 Chevy Celebrity in garage last night. Today it wont start. If I pump the accelerator a bunch it acts like it wants to start and as soon I quit pumping it just turns over. Fuel pump kicks on...

Hello: 1st, pumping the accelerator on a fuel injected GM car does NOT do any good. In fact if you put the accelerator to the floor you put the system in the lean mode ie, reduce fuel. You will need a fuel pressure gage and there should be a schrader valve on the fuel lines/fuel rail where you can connect the fuel pressure gage. The fuel pressure should be about 10 psi if you have throttle body injection. Is your car a 4 cylinder? If its a 4 cylinder you may not have a schrader valve to connect the pressure gage. You will need a high dollar kit to tap into the fuel line. Have someone attempt to start the car and you remove the air cleaner an see if the injector is spraying fuel.

Check engine light is on,is there a way to turn it off?

Most likely you need service on the emmision control system, the O2 sensor in particular. If your handy these aren't that hard to change. Located in the exhaust before the cat converter, they unscrew and screw in, similar to a spark plug. Some of these do need a special tool to remove. If you just want the light of, go to autozone and they will pull the code and turn the ligt off, but it will come back if the problem is not addressed

Why would my service enging ligt come on? What

there over 200 problems that will trigger the service engine soon light, these are faults in the engine, the emission control suystem and the transmission, u will need to have the system tested for the trouble code that was stored when the light was truned on by the on board computer control module.
