Disconnect the Battery and let stand for a few minutes. The Reconnect and attempt to restart. This should re-program the security computer.
Depending on the type (factory or post factory) will determine if a "repair" shop is needed. Post factory may have the original wires that may be reconnected after the device has been removed. Most devices are located up underneath the driver side dash on the firewall.

I have a 2006 Ford Focus ZX3 manual 5sod. Anti theft system has locked my ignition down. How do I get it reset or the security system bypassed so I can drive my car?

You can never bypass it, only get it to work correctly. There are two ways, one always works, the other works most of the time.

Take it to the dealer and they will pair the chip in the key and the chip in the ignition lock. Always works.

Disconnect the battery for 1 hour and then reconnect it. That SHOULD reset the system. Works most of the time.

The system only fails if the power is cut and connected quickly. It needs to be disconnected for at least an hour so that the power dissipates in all the electronic components.

This may be related to the antitheft system The system is known for turning off the starter and/or injectors when it fails. Is there a light on the dash that says SECURITY? This is a common problem worth looking into.

I just had my fuel pump replaced. Now my check engine light is on and it gives an error code for fuel rail pressure.

Go to Autozone/Advanced Auto have them read the code and erase if possible, and see if it reappears.... 50% of the time it will never reappear.
If they cant erase it, read up in your OM where it talks about troubleshooting and it should have the reset memory instructions listed. If not, call the dealer and ask them. Usually you have to turn you key to accessory for x seconds, back to off for x seconds and it will reset. You can always disconnect battery for 24 hours and the computer will reset automatically.

Starts just fine and than just dies

Things to check: Fuel pump pressure. The pump is powered through a relay. Verify the relay remains on while key is in the run position and engine starts and relay remains closed. If the relay opens, then the engine rotation sensor may be bad. This is part of the safety system to cease pumping fuel if the engine quits for any reason. Initially the fuel is pressurized and then while starting the relay remains closed and after aa short time if the engine isn't rotating fuel is shut off.

most of them can be reset by disconnecting the batter for 24 hours. yu will loose any info stored in the car. Have her disconnect the negative terminal first the black one. Then have her disconnect the red terminal the possative one. leave it alone for 24 hours this should in most cases solve all her problems.
