I have a 1997 Dakota 4X4 with an At transmission that was broken into, the ignition won't turn and the gear selector is snapped off, how do I repair this or do I install a whole used column and what does that entail.

You can get individual parts but you will have to disassemble first to be sure you know what parts to replace. Get a book at the library or go to alldata.com and buy the info for about 25 bucks. You will have access to the info for the stated time.

What size tire can I put on my 1990 dodge dakota 4x4 truck

All tires on a 4x4 must be the same size or there will be a transmission wind up , you could damage the transmission and jam the gear change.

Possible distributor cap cracked? Possible short in the ignition system? Fuel Filter clogged? Fuel Pump not producing enough pressure to keep it running? Shifter linkage broken? Is there a Check Engine Light On? More details needed.

1997 taurus key won't turn in the ignition, gear selector won't go into gears

Usually a sign the tumblers in the lock cylinder have worn out or jammed.
You may have to get the lock cylinder drilled out and replaced.

Turn signals reverse lighs dont work need a wire diagram for this 1997 izuzu rdeo 4x4

Reverse light are operated by the range selector switch on the side of transmission aka. gear selector lever. A problem with the t/s lights would be in the turn signal combo switch.

'89 dodge dakota manual transmission A535 will not shift out of 4th gear. the stick will move around and even go into other slots but gear stays locked in 4th. what's wrong

Most likely solution is the gear selector fork in the transmission has broken and is no longer engaging the gears.

Repair requires transmission removal and partial overhaul.

I have a '97 Olds auroa reverse failed all other gears work

Maybe not if all the other gears work reasonably well it may just be in the linkage. Make sure that the selector is moving and is not broken or malfunctioning. Does the engine change tone at all when you shift into R? If no avail. You may have a broken band in your transmission the band is what holds the clutch pack and turns the gears., a rebuild kit for that transmission is 190$-285$ Napa Good luck hope this helps
