It has been my experence that if you have changed the tstat and coolant level is good than the water pump isn't working properly. the fins on the water pump wear off, caused by coolant with high acid content, there also could be a blockage in the heater core, I would hook up a pressure tester start the car and see if it builds pressure, if it does than i would lean to the heater core, if it doesn't than the water pump isn't working.

have a compression test done as the bubbles suggest a blown head gasket or cracks. That will account for the overheating. The oil leak may be from the head gasket or cracks.

Poor Heating in 2000 Ford Taurus, Recieving cool Air through Blower

First place to check is the thermostat. It's like a float that allows coolant to pass from the hoses through the block. If it gets stuck, you'll lose heat. Easy to replace, and inexpensive.

Have a taurus 2000 and its not heating the air con is fine. took it to the mechanic they change thermostat, changed some fuses and they flush the pipes conected to the coolant reservua and sill nothing not...

If they actually flushed the heater core itself you will need to check that the valve that allows coolant to flow through the heater core is operating properly. There should be a valve near the firewall where the 2 hoses attach to the heater core. In heat mode the valve should open and in A/C mode it should close. Please rate this answer, thanks.

Heater in 2000 Ford Taurus Station Wagon doesn't heat. Fan motor runs. No anti-freeze smell.

you are either low on coolant or need a thermostat. Check to see if the 2 radiator hoses are oht hot. Then check to see if both heater hoses are hot.

Coolant won't stay in reservoir.

a good mechanic would have replaced the thermostat when he did the water pump.
May not even have been the water pump in the first place.
Car may have a vapour lock under the thermostat from leting the coolant out when replacing the water pump , and not filling and bleeding the system correctly.
Thermostat won't open if no hot coolant can get to it.
