Question about 2001 Ford Expedition
They are in the engine head. Just follow the plug wires and they will lead you right to them. A slightly warmer engine will make it little easier to remove the old ones. Make sure there is no debris of any kind on or near plugs when removing or that junk can get into your cylinder. Turn counter clockwise to remove and clockwise to install. Make sure the socket is straight up and down and not crooked or it will crack the plug.

Testimonial: "Great information.. thanks"
If your expedition is the 5.4 litre triton v8 you won't have spark plug wires to follow because the engines has cop(coil on plug ) ignition system.
