You just have to look at a new motor online to see that it has only two pins in the connector. Removal is another story. I have pasted the procedure from below.

Removal & Installation

Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions section.
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Drain the cooling system.
Discharge and recover the A/C refrigerant.
Remove the instrument panel by removing or disconnecting the following:

Battery box
Intake filter housing
Heater hoses
A/C pipe from firewall fittings (plug openings)
Heater locating stud nut
Steering column from steering gear
Steering column from rubber bellows
Left and right A-pillar trim
Cover from beneath center controls
Left and right kick panels
Connector behind left kick panel
Upper connector from blower control
Instrument panel end covers
Bolts behind end covers
Lower section of steering column trim panel
Electrical harness from instrument panel trim
Connectors on steering column
Heater connector
Lower bolts on instrument panel support (next to steering column lower end)
Instrument panel

.Disconnect the fan motor wiring harness.
Remove the fan motor.

To install:

Install the fan motor and connect the wiring harness.
Install the instrument panel in reverse of the removal procedure.
Refill the cooling system.
Reconnect the negative battery cable.
Evacuate and recharge the A/C system.
Check the coolant level after starting the engine and running for several minutes.

Why does my Mini's fan stay running for 20 minutes after engine is switched off & header tank from radiator needs topping up every week?

will assume it the newer mini produced

yes 20 minutes is too long

will need to go to a workshop for inspection
possible answers for the issue

the fan .......all fixable
faulty internal thermostat ..
faulty thermostatic temp switch not switching off
of fan motor not spinning quick enough

the fan thermostatic on /off switch is set that way to cool down the motor and not warp the head or block
after stopping the engine the coolant is at is hottest for a short time
so the fan shuts off when the coolest temp of coolant is reached

header tank needing top ups

check for hose leaks at clamps or small cracks in heater hoses
the cap of the header tank may need replacing
the internal heater radiator may have a leak
(you would have wet carpet inside the car)
a welsh plug may be leaking
radiator may have a hole hole
or other coolant leak unknown

worst case
if the coolant in the header tank looks like it is sludgy
(has oil in it ) or oil dip stick has coolant or water with the oil
there is a possibility the head gasket has blown

thermostat housing one part

'97 Venture Van. Fan is not blowing no matter

Test the motor first, The wire to it is a hot positive wire and the motor's housing is the ground. If that works ok next check the resistor to see if its burnt out. Did you look at your fuses first?

97 ford van heater and a/c fan is not coming on

right where the wires plug into the heater box the lil rectangular plate should have 2 screws holding it into place . you may want to change that . it controls the motor speeds if it goes bad the motor wom't work ,. then if that doesn't help . you may have to replace the motor itself , but first and for most check all fuses and relays that control the heater motor .
