Question about 2002 Chevrolet Blazer
;Your Chevy Blazer has 4 oyxgen sensors, 2 on each side of the engine. First, you would want to scan the codes on your computer, to determine which sensors are failing. They are located in front of and behind the catalytic converters. Basically all you need to do is locate them, unplug the electrical harness plug, and un screw them from the exhaust pipe/ manifold that they are mounted in.

yes you have to drop the tank. you will also need a fuel line tool to unhook the fuel lines. before you drop the tank see if tou can reach and wiggle the electrical connection on the top of the tank. these pumps have a pigtail issue. please rate

SOURCE: location of oxygen sensors
I think there is more than two. Either way, they are located in the exhaust system. The pre-cat sensors are in the head pipes, just below the exhaust manifold, and then there will be one right behind the catalytic converter. You will need a 7/8 inch wrench or possibly a special O2 socket.

Need a 7/8 open end wrench or a o2 sensor socket. Located in exhaust pipe. The one closest to the engine is Bank 1 Sensor 1. The ones located downstream and known as "Sensor 2"

Hi, there are 4 sensors on your truck--two upstream and 2 downstream. The upstream sensors are mounted in the exhaust manifolds and the downstream sensors are mounted just behind the catalytic converters. The upstream and downstream sensors are different. Bank 1 is on the driver's side and bank 2 is on the passenger's side. Please let me know if you have more questions, and thanks for using FixYa.
