1 disconnect battery, but be sure you have any pin for radio etc so the will work again after.
2 get underneath and identify the starter motor.
undo the cables on the solenoid and the main cable on the motor.
3 remove the housing bolts to remove the motor from the engine.
on removal check the fly wheel to ensure there are not broken teeth or other problems.
4 on installation of the new motor reverse order points 3 back to 1.

What does changing the oil, changing filters etc, have to do with the vehicle not starting?
What actual testing was done on --battery,alt,starter.fuel pump, etc.,how was this testing conducted and what were the results?
No fluids are consumed, in any motor vehicle,

My car is not starting. It makes a horrible rattling noise when i try to start it... I have been advised (non-professionally) that it could be the battery or the alternator. Any suggestions?

Have the battery tested to eliminate it as the problem. It should show 13-14 volts minimum. If the battery is good then the alternator is, by default, good as well. This honestly just sounds like a run of the mill starter problem to me though. Changing the solenoid is cheaper than changing the the whole starter and is probably enough but if you want it over once and for all, change the whole starter. A mechanic will charge more to replace the solenoid than the whole starter because there is a little more work involved but the cost of the whole starter may still make it the more affordable option. You could also check prices on having the original starter rebuilt.

My starter kicks out before the car starts how can i tell if its the starter or celinoid

It's most likely the "bendix drive" in the starter kicking out. It's the part that engages the starter to the flywheel. Changing a starter without changing the solenoid is like having a slice of bread without any butter. Change them as a pair. Hope this helps.

Not getting fuel after changing the starter motor just wondering if there a safety shut off switch somewhere or if my fuel pump and starter went at the same time!!!!!

It seems there may be a shut off switch or you may have pulled a fuel pump connection loose while changing the starter. Some cars have a emergancy shut off to fuel in case of collisions, mine have mostly been in the trunk. research emergency fuel cut off for your make and model and research no fuel for same.
