Take out the air intake tube that goes to the throttle body and start the car. Now have someone hold the gas peddle so the engine stay at 2500 rpm get a can of carburetor cleaner at your local parts store and spray into the throttle body. Car may shut off start it back and repeat process until half of the can is left. reset engine light

If this start happening after the timing belt was replace then something was put on wrong you should take it back where you get it done and bring this problem to there attention. Also with these cars if you're low on antifreeze you will also end up with this code spray the carburetor into the throttle body like i said and check your coolant level, this should take care of the problem if not then you will have to change the IAC Valve (idle air control valve).

Check engine light on and was reading a p0505 code drove to the store and engine like started blinking got home hooked the code reader and now have another code of p0309 and p1399

Code 505 is a problem with the idle air control valve.
Code 309 is noting a cylinder 9 missfire on engines with 10 cylinders which would not include yours. That may be a fluke or not the right number.
Code p1399 is brand specific and for Honda it usually means random miss.
The code 505 could be the idle control valve or a vac leak. The computer can not control idle speed by using the valve.
The miss codes mean the cylinders are not producing power when they should be. Which may or may not be ignition. It could also be fuel or mechanical problems.
If you have not replaced the plugs and done the usual maintenance stuff in the past year or two, I would start with the basics.
Be sure and look at the inside of the dist cap and rotor.

Code 505 idle control valve needs repair on 02 honda accord. approximate cost? stalls at lights (coming to a stop) no problem restarting

normally the IAC valve can be cleaned(the pintal on valve & the seat get dirty/carbon
)usually pretty accessable
so maybe an hour labor or DIY not hard to do

Under 2000 rpms runs bad/hesitates/check engine light

This IAC valve runs only when your foot is off the gas pedal. Mainly to keep the engine from stalling and keeping it at a safe RPM. If it is running bad under 2000RPM, more than likely its the IAC valve or a vacuum leak. Clean or replace the IAC valve....Hopefully this helps!!
