Question about 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

I have the same problem with the gas guage reading empty when its full. But now every once in awhile when i put it in reverse it'll die.

It sounds like the fuel pump or "sending unit" is causing the faulty gas gauge and stalling. if your vehicle is the avalanche shown, the sending unit is located inside the fuel tank and i believe it needs to be dropped in order to be replaced

My gas guage stays on empty and the tank is full


Sounds like your senor in the gas tank it self is bad. Most cars have a float that read out how full the tank is and when it goes out it will stay stuck showing you on the dash that your tank is empty even though it is full.

2004 grand prix fuel tank reads full all the time and maybe once in awhile it will move to empty and then back to full


fuel levle sensor in the gas tank needs to either clean or replaced.you will need to remove gas pump unit.

Gas gauge is not reading correctly. Shows a full


the problem is caused by a defective gas gauge sending unit, this part is located inside the gas tank, you must remove the gas tank to replace it.

Your sending unit inside of the fuel tank is probably faulty. Unfortunately you have to drop the tank to change it.

its the float in the tank i have the same problem. it also does it when it gets to 1/4 and could be empty.

Check gauges light


Possible bad guage, bad wiring, or bad sending unit. Check each one independently of each other, start with wiring first, then sending unit.
