It is possible, but you will need to take it somewhere to have it done. They will need to put it on a dyno tester and also connect to computer to reset the speedo.

Want to change 14" 4

Make sure you change out the speedometer gear for the proper ratio when you do that. If you go to a larger rim and use standard tires it will effect the accuracy of the speedometer. You will have to check with the Ford dealer or specialty tire shop about that effect though. I do not recommend low profile tires on that particular vehicle. You can get 4 lug Rims for your vehicle in the sizes you are looking for but you also need to be careful that the selection you make doesn't require body modification otherwise you will have to do that first or face possible control and safety problems from the tires rubbing the body structure.

Hey I was wondering if you could please offer further advice on the 2004 S60 R tire/rim situation? I have 18's on there right now and they RUB LIKE CRAZY! and my 18 inch Volvo rims that I got...

Sounds like your Rims and Tires are too big. I'm surprised the place that sold them to you didn't tell you those wouldn't fit. Did they at least advise you that the larger tire will through your Speedometer off? If you change the Rim and Tire size you have to change the speed gear in the transmission in order to keep your speedometer accurate.

I have a 1979 fiat spider, I am putting 14" rims

Make sure the rims are the correct bot pattern (4 X 98) and hubcentric. As for tire size, goin from a 13 to 14 inch rim is called plus one. The key is tio maintian the same tire diameter so the gear ratio and speedometer arenlt affected.

A stock 13 take a 195SR- 13 tire, wirth the 'SR' being a 75 series tire with a diameter of 24.52 inches. The closest match in 14 inch tires is 215x60-14 with a diamter of 24.16. As close as possible match.

That would as much tire as youi wouls ever need.

Can i install 16'' rim on a 1983 eldorado

If a wheel company has wheels for your application, yes. If not which I believe nobody makes wheels for this designed car do not attempt to do so for they will not work

Hi i have an 1985 s10 blazer v6 2.8l and i have 22's wire spoke rims on it since i installed the 22's rims it has been running slow would the rims be the problem

Different size tires and rims will make a difference on how your speedometer works. In order to correct this, you will either have to change your tire size, have the gears in the rear axel changed, or put a different speedometer gear or adapter on the transmission.

13" tires on a 89 chevy sprint with 12" tires

you will need new rims but if they do it correctly (i.e. change the aspect ratio of the tire to counter act the rim size increase) this will not effect the speedometer.

Upgrade to Rim 15''

If you can tell me the size of your current tires, I can give you a correct 15" tire size to keep as close as possible to your stock calibrations for speedometer, odometer, and suspension clearance.

Rim and tires

Your tires will certainly last longer and your steering may be sharper. Here are the issues (having done this on other cars):
  • cars are generally designed to use one size of tire for a reason...too large a tire is not good in the rain, for example
  • your speedometer/odometer will read wrong
  • there is a possibility of body interference in turns or in full suspension jounce
Assuming you do this: make sure your front end is in good condition and use the same width tire. Your car may have a different model with an oversized tire. Ask your dealer what modifications to address the speedometer issue are available.
