2004 Camry Transmission growl

2004 Toyota Camry
Transmission has started growling a bit in early driving but then quiets down. Fluid is full. First sign of serious trouble or just normal aging?

its a temp issue apparently, dont consider it normal, have ur transmission checked to avoid costly fixes on the future, change oil and see how it behaves for a start

I would have it checked out by an ASE certified Transmission shop. The growling may be the begining of problems with the torque converter or one of the planetary gear sets. Good luck

My 2009 nissan altima has a loud growling sound

This could be one of two things. We will first start with a wheel bearing. When you are driving, does the growling noise get louder as you go faster. Some times is will sound like you have a helicopter flying beside you depending on how bad the bearing is. The second thing that could be causing the growling noise is your transmission. There are also bearings inside your transmission that could be causing the noise. If you have a cvt transmission, you have a 120,000 mile warranty and can have it repaired at no cost to you. You will just have to go to a nissan dealership.

My '06 Honda Odyssey has gotten noisy recently.

If it is filled up to the "full hot" mark then you are okay, fluid wise. It almost sounds like once it gets warmed up, it starts running better. The "growling" noise (especially when turning) could be from it not getting enough fluid. Other than that, your power steering pump maybe on its last legs, and it is taking time to warm up before it starts pumping fluid correctly. Just make sure that you power steering resevoir is completely filled to the proper mark.

Powersteering pump is.growling.

This can be caused from low fluid level. Fill the p/s reservoir and check for leaks, if you still have growling noise the pump has been ran dry and will need replaced and the leak repaired.

Trans noise growling metal...3rd,4th and 5th low speed

I'm not sure, but that sounds like the throw-out barings. If thats the case and they went before the clutch did, then their could be some big problems up ahead.
