Dear Shaker.......Does this sport trac only shake when you apply the brake? Or does it shake continuosly? Have you checked the rear rotors/drums also? Or did you just inspect the front brake assembly?

Does the shake come and go at different speeds? check your tie rod ends by lifting the front wheels off the ground and grab the tire and shake from left to right. if they are tight you probbably need to replace the rotors

Carefully, clamp off just one rear at a time and then try one front at a time,it should be just one of the wheels causing the shake.Once you get down to the one or two causing the problem don't forget to check hub runout, wheel runout and wheel balance too.Sounds like rear to me.

2001 ford sport trac put it in drive or reverse and let it idle and it shakes real badlike the motor is about to fall out give it gas and goes away check engine lite not on and no codes found only...

It sounds like you have a bad motor or transmission mount. Open your hood, and have a friend start your vehicle, and put it into drive. Observe the engine to see what is vibrating.

2001 ford sports trac brake lights not working ,

This may be a simple fix, where the wheel jack or washer bottle is located in the back behind the panel, there should be connectors for the rear lights, it is possible that the plug has been dislodged, remove the panels and check the plug connections. Good luck.

I would try replacing the rotors altogether. If after resurfacing them your getting .010 runout on them in a few days, those rotors are getting soft.
Also, check the rotor mating surfaces, ie, where the rotor touches the hub when installed, and make sure it is clean and smooth. Any rust or brake dust buildup on the hub will prevent the rotor from sitting flush to the hub. I would also recommend replacing the brake pads, if you do the rotors, as the pads could have worn unevenly due to the rotors being warped.

The left front wheel area is shaking violentely and cusing a loud humming noise at all speeds.

First: STOP DRIVING THIS CAR!. The wheel may lock up or fall off!!!!!
Next: Have it checked out by a mechanic.
It can be a number of things like: bad wheel bearing, loose lug nuts, brake system faulty, rotor really warped. If I was to pick one I would say your front wheel bearing is shot.

Brakes

you may have to take the rotors back off completely and look for the baby brake shoes behind the rotors because sometimes they will hang up and give you some of the problems you are having
