My 95 nissan maxima is idling rough and then stalling when i let off the gas or am stopped at a light or stop sign; i have replaced the coolant temperature sensor, not it. Took it to the nissan dealership...

the problem is fuel related and nowhere else
it indicates a vacuum leak , either at the manifold , brake booster , transmission actuator hose/unit for the transmission or hoses that control under that dash
bad at stopping at light indicates that it is the brake booster
simple test is to put the hand brake on, start the engine and if it idles ok , put your foot on the brake
if still ok move vent controls ,
if with the foot on the brake it plays up , replace the brake booster

I can drive my maxima about 10 miles, then as I slow down at stop sign or red light the car shuts off.... The battery is still on, but I can't keep it running

it may be a throttle position sensor. Your mechanic should be able to test it's voltage and see if it is good.

1996 nissan maxima brake and battery lights on .... I have a 1996 Nissan Maxima and the battery and brake lights both came on after bleeding the brakes. What could it be?

Check your brake fluid it is probably low. Top it off and you should be fine. The lights are set so that both come on when low on fluid.
