Check your fuses first if the motor is not working. if thats good you'll have to remove the cover where the switch is and you should be able to crank it closed manually with an allen key

Sunroof will not close all the way

Maybe a bad switch. There is usually a manual operation for the sunroof which will let you know if your have other problems. (see owners manual) if that works, uspect bad switch

My wifes electric sunroof on her 2001 Ford expedition will not close. How do i fix this?

it has no emergency closing procedure. It could be the switch, the motor or the module. The latter 2 are on the moon roof and you have to lower the headliner for access.

Try to by pass the switch. Before you do anything, check the fuse.

check 30 amp green maxi fuse in fuse box under hood. just above 2 rows of 4 fuses in middle.

I cant close my sunroof and i think it is the switch

This vehicle sunroof can travel past its open point and gets stuck. you can lower the headliner and insert an hex key and crank the glass forward one inch then it will work again. Just don't let it go to far open or it can get stuck again. Also check the drain tray to make sure it is not out of place, if so you need new guides.

1999 ford expedition sunroof assembly opens but won't close.

Are you sure your switch is working properly? Sounds like one side of your switch is not working. Can you hear anything when you try to close it?

Sunroof on a 2003 ford expedition won't close

I have just repaired a similar problem on a 2003 F150 crewcab sunroof. It opened and would not close. Pressing the switch to open made a click(no bad fuse or breaker.) Pressing it to close made no noise. I checked the switch with a VOM, it was fine. I used jumper wires to reverse polarity on the motor leads (purple and blue) between plug from express open module (black box) and motor connector (excluding limit switch.) I was hoping just to close the roof until Monday. Pressing the switch made the roof closed perfectly both ways (no problem with regulator or motor.) I focused on the limit switch in side the gearcase on the motor. The grease was melted and had swamped the switch with oil. I cleaned the limit switch with electronic cleaner and reassembled the gearcase, paying close attention to the alignment of the sequencing cams (there's a window to check the marks.) With everything hooked up and the headliner back in place it seems to work perfect.
Thanks B

How to adjust sun roof

There should be a dip switch inside frame that stops motor and it could be bent or someone could have closed roof on something and skipped the gears. Try opening it some and then hold it while opening a bit more.

How to replace the sunroof on a 200 ford expedition

usually the only parts you can get is either the glass or module. even from a salvage yard. So knowing this look to replace the whole module. it can be expensive. the headliner must be dropped, wires disconnected drain tubes, and bolts removed. once new is installed it must be synced.
