You have to loosen the mounting bolts on the fuse panel and on the bottom side the fuse is held in by 2 8 millimeter bolts.

How do I remove the main fuse in an 02 Suzuki Grand Vitari XL7?

Sparks do fly, the last connection on the cables is ground
to a metal , on engine not battery,
this will make a small, spark. all do, that. done right.
but if done backwards, a huge spark with the 2 batteries bucking each other, and damage will happen.!
yes you may blow the main fuses,
my guess you blew the 80amp fuse in the main fuse box under hood.
did you put the new battery in correctly Plus to PLUS
and NEG to NEG lugs, if not, BOOM AGAIN.
open hood,
fuse 1, if it ok, then the others fuse to the right blew.
when fuse 1 blows, all things die. zero power to anything in car
including head lights, (head lights are always the first check)

I had to replace my main 120amp fuse. Is there any other fuses that would blow if you crossed battery cables.

worse case scenario: you could have fried the ecu / ecm

anything electrical is effected; had a neighbor's car whole front end wiring to his headlight system got fried/melted together
do you have access to an obd2 scanner and plug it in to check?

in hindsight, this is one of the reasons why calling AAA for a jumpbox is better than having someone hook up jumper cables incorrectly ~ most also will connect the cables directly to the dead car's battery terminals when you're really supposed to connect it to "engine ground"

once you gave it a look over all the electrical wiring and fuses, time bo bite the bullet and take it to the shop ~ sadly

Where is the ects relay on 2001 tundra

doing that (reverse battery,) blows up very extensive electronics.
fuse that look good can be in fact bad.
A pro never guesses, we use a magic $8 tool (walfart) called volt meter to find them.
every time. no guessing. the the mains are huge
too bad you never told what exactly what you did.,
1: removed battery plus cable first (wrong) and wrench hit steel>?
2: installed the battery backwards, boom"
3: removed the alternator , hot or starter (boom)

know what you did ,tells me which fuse blew., for sure.
the voltage will be on both sides of fuse. if fuses is good, some
need key on to be hot.
(rare exceptions)
some cars have fuse links that look like wire are are NOT.

you have no power to the radio ,now, the voltmeter is 0v
there.
so you back up from there
but why
why not start at the travesty area, the battery and check all PDC fuses first for 2 x hot each. need a ASE TRAINING video have it.
fuse that look bad are
fuses that look good, can in FACT be bad, gawd made is a meter
and bingo we are all blessed with truth.

I put my battery in wrong in my 95 avalon now nothing happens when I trun the key, whats wrong?

It all depends on how lucky you are today. Connecting the battery backwards can destroy some high-dollar stuff. If you are really lucky, you will only have a blown fuse (or fuses). Check both of your main fuse blocks on the left side of the engine compartment,
One of the boxes is called the "Fusible Link" box and the other is called the "Engine Compartment Junction Block" (J/B) (See picture below).
Your main circuits are protected by the 40 Amp and 80 Amp fusible links in the Fusible Link box and the 120 Amp Alternator Fuse in the Junction Block. You will most likely find one or more of these fuses/fusible links blown.

Hey I went to start my 97 toyota avalon today and it wouldn't even turn over none of the lights would come on or anything..... What's wrong with my car lol

First try jumping the vehicle. If it won't jump you you need to check the main buss fuse in the power distribution box (Should be a 40 amp). If that is good check for a grounded positive going to the starter where metal contact with the wire may have worn a hole in the insulation. If both are good and the inline fuse from the positive is not blown pull the alternator and have it and the Voltage regulator checked at Auto Zone, Advance auto or Pep Boys. One if these is going to be the problem.
