To pull axle out of limited slip diff Remove diff cover and look for small bolt with 5/16" or 7mm head holding cross shaft in gear carrier. Remove bolt, then remove cross shaft, be very careful not to spin spider gears out of carrier when cross shaft is out. Also be careful to look for and not lose shims between spider gears and gear carrier. Push axle that you want to remove all the way in and look at inner end of axle (inside of gear carrier) you will see a c-clip. Spin c-clip off with small screwdriver (pocket screwdriver size) and pull axle out. ------- click this link directly to get detailed instructions of how to remove whole assembly http://www.limited-slip.com/acatalog/kaaz-lsd-english-instructions.pdf ---- the instructions mentioned in this link are not exactly similar to your car but near to same.so it will give the fare idea of how to disassemble. ------- This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

Place vehicle on lift or jack stands.Plce in neutral. Remove rear wheels. Remove rear brake calipers off rear rotors.Hang secured out of the way. Remove rotors. The rear axle cover has to be removed . Remove the rear axle sensor on top of the axle. Remove the 8mm bolt holding the tube in. Remove the tube. Push the axles in and remove the c clips. The axle should slide out.

What oil must i put in the diff of a ford 4000 tractor with the oil pump for lift inside the diff

80-90 oep diff oil unless it is a limited slip diff in which case you use special limited slip diff diff oil
don't know if it is limited slip diff diff
you can check by jacking up the rear end and having a friend turn a rear wheel
by holding one wheel the other wheel will be turning in the forward direct as that is what limited slip diffs do diff do ( both drive )
other than that call your local manufacturer service center and ask

I have a 97 vzj95 prado 3.4lt v6 Recently the front diff seized and I've replaced it but now on turns while accelerating I'm hearing a clunk from the rear diff... Is this a wind up issue? Thanks

Yes it is a wind up of the axles and not the drive shafts. Your car has a limited slip diff and it is locking up.
When you are accelerating the diff locks up and your wheels are rotating at different rates while turning. This causes the axles to twist until the pressure causes the Limited Slip Diff to slip.
My guess would be that someone has changed the diff oil with non Limited Slip Diff oil.

I have a 1995 lincoln towncar and the radio comes on but I no longer have sound, please help, what's wrong with it?

I think I already answered this... but there is an amplifier behind the back seat in the trunk area, and there is a fuse on it. Start by replacing that fuse.

What grade oil is used in the defferential?

My owner\'s manual for my 1995 says API GL-5 unless you have a Limited Slip Diff. For LSD it says API GL-5 and SAE 80W-90 are approved. SAE 90 is acceptable if temps above 0F.

Differential oils

Use standard 80-90 OEP diff oils in standard diff and special oil if diff is limited slip unit as oep oils will destroy a limited slip diff.

What type of oil should i put in a deaf for a four wheel drive toyota corrolla sprinter1998 model. manual transmission.

for ordinary diffs most manafactures recommend 80/90 sae oil. personally I prefere 80/90 epw oil as it protects the gears better.Check that the diffs are not limited slip because limited slip diffs require a special oil or they will fail very quickly
