On an 87 iroc z is there a thing called an idle sensor?

It's fuel injection. It doesn't stall all the time, but when it does stall it's at stops and turns.

That all depends on whether it's got fuel injection or carburetor. What problem are you having with the idle? Stalling at stops, or turning, stalling all times, idling too high, and which one is it, FI, or Carb?

My 2006 VW Velocity start but does not idle. What can possible the problem

sounds like a bad idle control sensor, most garages charge $75.00 for a diagnostic, the sensor is about $45.00 it could also be a bad fuel filter, have you been burning 87 octane fuel?[cheapest fuel] ethanol fuel is'nt good for your v.w. at least try to use 89 0ctane but no ethanol fuel!! you can use 87 octaneBUT you need to add octane booster with it, which you can get at the dollar general,wal-mart,k-mart,auto zone, advance auto it's really an economy thing though. what ever your budget is, i have a 87 toyota van and use it every day for qa mechanic svc. i buy 89 octane fuel,i've bought 87 octane and everytime i have,i've had to replace the fuel filter. merry christmas!! and as always, if you need further assistance please repost your question and an expert will be happy to assist you!!

How do i take my radiator fan off of my 87 iroc-z

Replace the fan relay in the fuse box in the engine bay first. Fan motors very, very rarely go bad. Check the relay first, you may save yourself an a lot of time and money. It may also be a bad coolant temperature sensor or a bad connection and/or bad ground.

Fuel pressure? Do you hear the fuel pump running? Read the codes to see if ECM is still alive. Do you have spark at the plugs? Remember all motors need 3 things to run air, fuel, and fire at the right time.

87 iroc tpi idle is off changed out tps still chokes out when i give it gas and all new injecters could it be egr

I would check the ECT switch first,
The computer has to be told how cold or hot the engine is so it knows how rich or lean to make the engine.
If the engine coolant temp switch is telling the computer it is 30 degrees then it will really be rich and loading up fast,

My gas guage is not accurate, the needle seems to jump around while driving. I ran out of gas at 1/4 tank the other day. What could the problem be on a 87 iroc z?

GasparMacari is 100% on target. I had the same problem with my IROC. Seems that the sulphur in the gas errodes the contacts on the gas gauge sensor in the fuel tank. I know of people that have tried gasoline additives to clean the corrosion but I would give it a 50/50 chance of working. You gotta drop the tank to get at the fuel pump/sensor assembly. You are looking at some big bucks and it is NOT a do-it-yourself project. One spark and BOOM no more Camaro... or YOU... I'd suggest setting or re-setting your odometer trip indicator every time you fill up. Keep track of the miles driven .vs your MPG and you can figure out when it is time to fill 'er up again. That's what I did until I traded it off.

Check your idle air stabalizer or sometimes called the idle air control valve, it may be clogged with carbon buildup and not working properly,

rx7`s should rev to 3000 when started cold then it should settle to 750 to 1000 after about 30 to 60 seconds.
mine suffers a similar problem. so far I have been told various answers, mostly involving the bac valve, lambda sensor, air flow meter, etc. try starting of by adjusting the idle adjust screw (on top of the throttle body under plastic cover) this may be all it is. I have not had time to do mine. Its been fine otherwise and idles fine after a few minutes. mine is non turbo 87.
