Question about 2002 Honda Accord
Here's a quick check list for most common cost of SRS / Air bag problem.
Dirty contacts on driver and passenger seat belt buckles
Dirty contacts on seat belt connectors (under seats)
Dirty contacts on driver and passenger sides weight sensors (under seat)
Weight on passenger seat
(Example: grocery package trigger SRS / Air Bag light on the way home.)
I recommend you to pass an vacuum over the contacts and use CRC electronic parts cleaner to rule out connectivity problem.
I DO NOT disconnecting the negative battery connector to clean the code(s)
Without the code(s) the dealer will takes "BILLABLE" time to reproduce the problem.
Please rate me answer if it is useful to you.

The SRS light will come on and stay on if there is a problem with the automatic seat belt tensioners, or the air bag system (they are separate from one another). Standard advice is to have them checked. Having them fixed is the only legitimate way to turn off the light. You could, of course, try something simple like pulling each seat belt all the way out and letting it slowly return to see if that has some effect, but, since you want to be sure that the belts and the bags work when you might need them, I would have Honda service take a look.
Hope this helps answer your question.
