Question about 2000 Chevrolet Malibu
On top of the block under the head...but before you do that make sure it really is your head gasket that is bad. something that happens in all of these cars and many others that used this engine is lower intake manifold gasket failure. LIM gasket failure can have the same symptoms as head gasket failure (internal and/or external coolant leakage, coolant in oil, white smoke in exhaust, foam at oil filler cap) make sure you have this checked first becuase this gasket is easier to fix than head gaskets because you don't need to dig as far into the engine.
