If you tried the door handle from the inside while the door is open,And that didn't unlock it,Try your key in the door to unlock it.If you can't turn your key to unlock it,It is probably the electric door lock solenoid holding it.
You will have to remove the door panel to access it.

2000 hyundai sonata passenger door lock stuck in locked position

If your talking about the teeth/latch that actually engage around the pin to hold the door closed and not the lock you puhs down to lock it. all you have to do is get a screwdriver or anything small and strong you can stick in it and pull the tooth back into the "open" position. You might have to pull the handle out like your opening the door normally while you do this.

Open the inside panel of the door by popping off the little white clips holding it on. The cable connected to the inside release button is either caught on something or has come lose. Check out this video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MkC2OiOiE_U

Rear door lock has jammed open with the door in the open position, any thoughts on what to do to the door lock, have tried lubricants with no success. John Knight

You will have to remove the interior door panels first to see if the connecting rods are in place properly. Also remove the latch and see if the is any corrosion or damage to it.
