There is a small hole on the underneath side of the rear view mirror. You have to use a paperclip to push the reset button inside and turn the vehicle in slow, short circles until it resets.

How to change the compass and temp indicator, compass and temp read out not operating and needs replacing .

This is a very common problem with many of the mid 2000 Ford truck and SUV overhead consoles. The console is very prone to internal failure. If the dome lights work but the compass unit does not then it is a faulty computer unit. I offer a reasonable repair service with a lifetime guarantee, check it out: www.autoclockrepair.com
There is a bunch of useful info there. Drop me an email if you have questions, thanks!

Frontpassenger window quit working then it started working again then it broke again. could this be caused by the brain

sounds like the plug on the winder motor is not securely pluged in check that or could be a loose wire. check the switch it may be worn thus the reason for stop working and working again. most common is the switch.

OUTSIDE TEMP AND COMPASS WENT BLANK PLUS OMETER GOSE OFF AND ON

This problem is usually the bus between the body control module and dash.If the bus wires check out o/k then you may need to replace the BCM.Check for any codes that may have been set for help in diagnostics.Let me know if you need more.MOE

The light on the electronic compass/temperature display went out. What do I need to do to get it to work? 2002 Ford Expedition XLT

I am looking into the fuse that controls this. Typically it controls several other components so if other components (for instance the radio, dome lights, gauge, etc) do not work then it is a fuse issue. More often than not, it is the computer module itself.
You can get a replacement from Ford but I believe it costs $500+.
I offer a repair service with a lifetime warranty. Check it out:

thanks!

I have heat; however the blower doesn't work.

I have the same problem. It is intermittent which makes it difficult. It was off for a while, so I took the speedometer out which revealed a main wiring harness. I shook it and it started working again. I kept shaking it, and it wouldn't turn back off. Clearly a loose connection somewhere, maybe when it quits working again I can figure out what is really wrong. Hope this helps a little.
