1997 GMC Savana 5.7 L conversion van. Van has been sitting for 3 years but has been started intermittently. Van will crank but will not turn over. No hum coming from fuel pump but checked wiring and no power to fuel pump. Also no power to obdII port. Replaced fuel pump relay..still nothing. Second day of working on vehicle we lost power to fuel pump relay. So far I have been able to come up with nothing but check grounds, which we have, check oil sending unit?..ok..Do not know if we have passlock security, there is no security light flashing and van bought used. Just cranks away but no start. Trys to start when sprayed but just burns off and quits. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Van has 65000 miles on it.
Look under the hood on the right side where your brake fluid is..There is a black box to the farest right of the brake fluid. take off the lid to this box were you will find fuses..Reach in and feel the fuses to see if any are loose. The largest fuses in the front, push down on those and then try to start it up..Take them out look at them make sure there ok if this dont work..they the one bad might need to be replaced..
Fuse? Check crank position sensor.
