Hello I just bought a 92 accord Lx 5 speed. first i found out my fuel gauge gives me wrong reading it says is 1/4 full when is empty. my second problem is when I'm around 1/4 tank full the car shuts off...

I dont know why car shuts off when the tank is 1/4 full. Try replacing fuel filter first then maybe fuel pump. I think you probably have a stuck fuel sending unit. Here is a video of the location of the fuel sending unit.

2004 mini cooper. sat for @ 2 yrs unstarted. new battery, 1/4 tank of of new gas. turns over great...wont fire. have been told it's fuel filter...wondering if it could be plugs? Thanks

dont think so but?' i would suspect the pump has had this old fuel and its stuck the vanes in the pump up ,on the fuel rail is what looks like a tyre valve ,push the valve head in and see if the petrol squirts out ?? if it doesnt then remove the pump and clean it out ,also check it manualy away for the vehicle with a battery (hot wire it )

Turns over but won;t start

Hello, well there are only 2 things that make any engine run...fuel and spark.. #1. to check if your getting spark you want to use a pair of pliers with rubber grips( if not you will get shocked ) then pull one of the spark plug wires off the plug (and if you have an old spark plug laying around you can put it on that wire turn engine over and see if you get a spark.) and holding it a 1/4" inch away from plug(or any metal surface of frame) have someone else turn engine over and see if your getting any spark?( its easier to see spark at night.) #2. if you have spark, then its in the fuel system.( will be your fuel pump, fuel pump relay, clogged fuel filter, ect.) if you dont have spark,it will more than likely be your ignition coil... good luck...yz-maniac.

I have replaced the fuel pump 4 times in the past two months. I have also replaced the fuel tank, fuel lines, and fuel filter but the pump still continues to go out. Any idea why this could be happening?

dont know what vehicle u have but ur problem may be with the wire connections where the pump is plugged in at top of tank some models had a problem with corrosion at the connector causing limited power/no power or shorting out

The cap should be marked for number 1. The distributor turns clockwise. The firing order is 1-3-4-2.
