cant find anything that even appears to be an mass airflow meter. replaced the tps. not it. runs worse now. will start with manifold cleaner sprayed in the cuts off like it isnt getting any fuel now.

from the air intake to the air filter, mine has never had a connector to it. I disconnect the hose that leads to the valve cover and the screw by the intake manifold, the clips by the filter and it comes off. I've seen diagrams that look like its between the butterfly and the plenum or part of the hole assembly that has the butterfly valve in it. weird car this is. My ol 74 vette was sooo much simpler! ha. Also it appears to really be sucking air in alot more than I have ever noticed before. checked vacuum pressure on fuel regulator hose to intake and it was strong. Oh, is the little pigtail behind the kickplate on the driver side the only place to check codes? was going to get a scanner to check but want to know as much as possible before spending the money. out of work and broke sucks when trying to get your car fixed! Thanks for any and all of your help.

I have seen alot of problems with the MAF (mass airflow meter) on these engines . Also make sure you do not have any cracks in the hose between the MAF and the engine and that all the hoses are connected. It will not run right with any air leaks between the MAF and engine. If there is not any cracks or hoses disconnected then you probably need a MAF. Try cleaning it first with some MAF cleaner spray. You can purchase it at any parts store.

The MAF is right there by the air cleaner housing, in fact it is in the air duct for the air cleaner. It will have an electrical connector going to it. I am certain this engine uses a MAF. All 3.2 Rodeos I have ever worked on does. But like Hot Chevy suggested it wouldn't hurt to scan it for codes, and have a look at the data stream to see what all the sensors are reading.

I am going to have to back peddle a bit here, my apologies. A 1994 Rodeo does not have a MAF sensor it uses a MAP sensor and it is not located in the the air inlet.

You just need to get it scanned and get an opinion of a qualified mechanic that can check it out in person. This is one of those situations that we can speculate all day long but without a more hands on approach thats all we can do is , speculate.

When driving my 99 cougar and shifting into neutral at a stop sign/stop light my car remains at high idle and grinds teeth when I put it back in first. What could be the problem?

Sounds like the gearbox. But the test is this: Engage 1st and start slowly releasing the clutch pedal DONT HIT THE GAS. The engine should gradually fade out and bog down when the pedal is completely released. If the engine just bogs down at some point, or the fading is not gradual, the clutch is damaged. If you hear grinding its the gearbox.

Check engine light

The lightning bolt light indicates you have an issue with your electronic throttle control system.

This should be repaired ASAP so you don't end up with a run away engine, or one that does on you when you need to get going quick.

1976 Ford F150 Bogs down when accelerater is pressed.

if it has a converter on may be stopped up, but before you replace it have the fuel pump checked, as it may not be getting enough gas at higher rpms. It will start and idle fine, but starve out when you press the pedal. Have you changed the fuel filter? That will cause the same problem.....

2002 Nissan Altima 2.5S wierd problem starting it up.

There have been several recalls on this vehicle for similar problems. I don't see in your posting where you took the vehicle to the dealer to check for recalls. You can call Nissan at 1-800-Nissan1 (in the U.S.) and have them check the VIN without taking it to the dealership. They will tell you if there are any outstanding recalls.
