Question about 2000 Volkswagen Beetle

Wet floor mats and stinky ac/heat unit...

I come out to my 2000 beetle after a rainy day and my floor mats in the front are soaking wet. Nothing else is wet, just the floor up front. I don't know what the issue is. Also, my ac unit and heat for that matter stink up the car whenever I run them. I don't know if the problems are related or separate. Any help would be great.

Your drain lines are clogged, and need to be blown out with compressed air. What you are smelling is mold.

My 2002 Ford Taurus passenger floor (front) is soaking wet. I have read that it could be a plugged hose. I am a female and have no experience...where do I find the hose to work on this? Can't affo

Sounds like the AC condenser drain is plugged. Do you notice a puddle under the right front while idling with the AC running? If not, the drain is plugged should be an easy and cheap fix at any local garage.

I have a 2001 DEVILLE. I am getting two inches of water on the floor in from of the back seat on the passenger side of the vehicle. Nothing is visably wet anywhere but on the floor.

Is it wet in the front passenger also? I had this problem a few months ago and 1 of the gurus from here told me to check the ac drainage hose under the vehicle...it was clogged. Other than getting soaked once i unclogged it, it was pretty easy. Good luck

Car mat on pasengers side is soaking wet is the drain off pipe blocked which is making the floor wet.

your drain plug under the floor is a rubber plug and it could have came out, to look for it look under your car on pass. side floor board and check to see if the plug fell out. Also this happens when the seel on the lower corner of the winsheild is not seeled or is missing some of the windsheild caulk in that corner. This happened to my car and it was the corner of the windsheild causing the problem. Hope this helps you and good luck.

Have you by any chance jacked up the passenger side, or got vehicle on a hoist to make sure there isn't any plugs on the underside that may have fell out? They could be round or oval metal or rubber plugs, probably in that area.
