Question about 1996 Chevrolet Camaro

1 Answer

My 1996 Camaro V8 had the ''low coolant '' light stays on

The low coolant light on my 1996 Camaro will not go off. It comes on when I start the car and doesn't go off even though I've added coolant. Can you help?
Thanks
Cynthia

check your coolant tempurature sensor. sounds like the symtoms of a bad sensor.--- poor cold idle, stalling, ( rich mixture) retarded timing, slow idle speed, cold hesitation or stumble, poor fuel milage, will also ****** timing. hope this helps!

Heater is blowing but no heat

First check for low Anti-freeze, then you can squeeze the in-let line prior to the thermostat. It should be hard, when engine is cold. It is good to do this with the radiator cap off since you can watch for water movement while preforming this task, but if it is allowing the water to go through the thermostat; then it is staying wide open. It then will need to be replaced. Your heat should come back at that point.

Low coolant warning light stays on.

Bad coolant level sensor in the tank. Look around the bottom of the reservoir and find a plug connection, unplug it and see if the light goes out. I think the tank has to be replaced dont think you get the sensor out. You could try by take the tank off and see if it will come out of tank but I dont think it will.

You might need to flush out the system and replace the thermostat.

Camaro Z-28 temperature problems

The main problem of the radiator level light is when you add coolant you must put The start key 3 times in on possition. Aftershave them you musa chante The reales 1,2,and 3 lije unit not only one.You can revises it in The Hayynes manual
