This is a 2009 grand cherokee correct? I am assuming this car is under warranty then. I would recommend taking it straight to the dealer and having them change it. I am sure they would do it for free and also be able to ensure that it isn't a more serious problem. This is the upside to having a new vehicle.
Thank you,
Lee

all the lighting for the interior is controlled through a central module called the BCM (Body Control Module) this module has the ability to be tested and deliver fault codes for problems like u are having, this test of the BCM functions must be done with a special electronic scanner at the chrysler dealer, there is no way to go around this test, do u have warranty? if so this is a covered component.

I gave you the correct answer, if u choose to ignore it u will just end up with no lights until the test of the BCM is run at the dealer, it is your choice. Good luck here.

Diagram removal interior light 2008

best thing to do is check all your fuses. Just remove each fuse, look to make sure its good, then replace it. you don't want to mix them up, just look at each one to make sure its good. You might find fuses that were blown that you didn't even know you had. Here is a picture to show you the difference between a bad vs good fuse and what your looking for:49362d30-a297-476d-a02d-86ff64ed542e.jpg

My first thought was a blown bulb so i would check your bulb first, and you might want to check to see if the light switch is faulty.

Any problems with interior lights blowing fuses??

For an interior light to blow fuses you have a dead short in the wire to the bulb or possiblely the wrong bulb. Pull the bulb and see if the fuse still blows.

Interior light not working

Could be one of 2 fuses the bulb itself or a short...would check fuse panel foe all interior lights then bulb if those are good. Also in some models there is a switch that cuts them off.

All interior lights have stopped working.

get your owners manuel to locate your fuse panel and fuse fo.r the interior light or dome lights. if its blown get yourself a new fuse. if fuse is good you have a broken or shorted wire somewhere . could be a pain to locate

I have a 2003 the odometer flashes no fuse

The interior light acts as a fuse for the door system, therefor door fuse flashes, so I checked the interior light bulb, it was good. Then I began to trace the interior wiring, it went to the roof interiors back driver side and then down beside the driver side back seat, if that makes any sence. You can take the plastic off were the interior lining ends and there is a connecting with a red mulex type connector. If the two halves are unplugged plug them up and your good to go.

Window, interior lights, car alarm and fuse keep on burning out

you have a short circuit or burned out wires somewhere, could be anywhere.
Try disconnecting the alarm, taking the bulb out of the interior lights, and putting in the fuse, if it blows again you know that the alarm or interior lights are not at fault, if it stays good replace the bulb and if it blows theres your faulty circuit, if it stays good then the windows are at fault.

Interior lights not working

I would think that if all the switches on the doors are good, and the bulb is good, check to see if there is power to the lights. There should be power there at all times; the switches give the light a ground. Or, the ground point physically on the lamp assby needs cleaned.
